Inspiration: Country Picnic

Once the warm months begin, people feel a sense of nostalgia for summers long past. Memories revolve around the gathering of family and friends for an old-fashioned outdoor picnic and there is something about this setting that evokes happy memories.

A country picnic theme is fun and makes for a simple, beautiful and relaxed wedding. There are many ideas to choose from, and I think the decorations for a country picnic wedding is the best part.

You can really play up your theme. For starters, you can use checkered tablecloths or rugs for people to sit on.  For your drinks use mason jars, or pitchers as flower vases. Think about hay bales as another seating option, or making bicycles available to ride through the fields. You can carry your theme into the food and offer guests traditional pies, scones with jam, gourmet hotdogs, fruit skewers, cupcakes and fresh lemonade.

This theme is a perfect summer or spring wedding theme (not so practical for an Orange winter!), and can be easy to create with good wedding planning.
