Light Up the Sky

The Central West of New South Wales has some of the most picturesque and stunning scenery in the state. It's one of the reasons I firstly wanted to get married in Orange, and secondly why I agreed to move out here!

Everywhere you look there's rolling fields, proud poplars, bundles of hay, cheeky cattle, beautiful eucalypts and you can't avoid the glorious yellow light of an afternoon sunset.

Since practicing as a photographer in my younger years I have developed a strong appreciation and affinity for light. When looking for photo opps I don't have to go very far to find an amazing setting out here. As soon as the sun begins to go down, the fields and sky light up with the most fabulous colours.

Some of the wedding photographers in this region are experts at capturing the afternoon glow of the western sun. These photos live on forever in the lucky couple's homes who choose to get married here.
