What is a Bespoke Country Wedding?

Bespoke Country WeddingsSo ladies & gents... what is a Bespoke Country Wedding?

A Bespoke Country Wedding is a wedding day that is all about you and your partner.

There is nothing more beautiful in this world than when two people pledge to spend the rest of their lives together. It is a big deal to find someone you want to spend the rest of your days with and your wedding is the beginning of that journey.

I think most importantly, the day needs to truly reflect you and your partner. The weddings people enjoy the most are when the bride and groom take the time to shape a day about them and their journey together. Every relationship has a story and something that makes it unique. When a couple taps into what is special and important to them they create a 'Bespoke Country Wedding'.

I started this blog to challenge the concept of a traditional wedding in the country. A wedding is no longer just about getting married in the local church, wearing a white dress and having your first dance. It is so much more than that, it is an experience. This is a once in a lifetime moment for you to share with your friends and family, and you've got to do it your way.

I encourage brides and grooms to break the mould, bend the rules, go against the grain. You've got to have fun with it and make it yours. There is often so much pressure out there from well-meaning people on what should happen. But at the end of the day, it's all about both of you and the choices that get made need to be yours.

I define the word 'Bespoke' in this context as "made to order, or custom made to individual satisfaction". My aim is to express a couple's individual style and personality in all the little details. We work with such a wide variety of people, some are looking for a little inspiration, others need design and planning assistance, others need someone there on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly. With every opportunity I'm reminded how lucky I am to help couple's create a Bespoke Country Wedding.
