Trend Alert: Freshly Picked Florals

Orange NSW Wedding Planning Styling Hire Flowers Florist

Don't you just love a rustic wedding bouquet or mixed garden flowers on guest tables?

Now, this is by no means a forecasted trend alert. This is something that I've been seeing in weddings for the last few seasons that I want to celebrate is still going strong this year.

Long gone are the days of formalised wedding bouquets being a bride's only option in the flower department. What has evolved on the wedding scene is the luxury of being able to play. No longer do we just see bouquets in the same colour with matching blooms across the board for the bridal party. Brides are ditching the traditional methods and techniques of floristry, and starting to break the rules.

The result is original, fresh, individual bunches of blooms everywhere. Some brides are lucky enough to have spectacular family gardens where they can pick fresh arrangements and group them together on the morning of the wedding. Others are heading to the flower markets the day before to personally select their own blooms, and create the most amazing rustic arrangements.

It can be a great way to save money in the wedding budget, but I think it's always important to remember flowers need to be carefully handled in order to get the best out of them on the day. Make sure you do your research and store your flowers correctly, and enlist the help of friends or a stylist to pull them together on the day to avoid any unecessary stress.
