Trend Alert: Going Green

Many of us now

recycle at home, buy organic, free range foods, and consider our impact on the environment in all that we do. People are now carry this ideology over into their wedding and are looking to minimise the impact their special day has on the planet.

We've all seen it before at plenty of events, the exotic flowers shipped hundreds of kilometres, the fuel guzzling transport, the plastic fantastic, all of which are not so good for our environment.

So where do you start to reduce your footprint? Consider organic fabrics for your wedding dress, fair trade flowers, seasonal food, conflict free diamonds, recycled decor, seedling favors, sustainable invitations and organic make-up. 

The best bit is you can still maintain a very stylish affair by going green. Eco weddings can be simple and elegant, with natural elements and a soft colour palette.

Whether you're a novice recycler, an environmentalist, or somewhere in between, there's plenty of low impact alternatives you can choose for your wedding day.
